Ordering

Where can I order custom mailer boxes with a low minimum order quantity for a small business?

BoxYourBrand supplies custom mailer boxes from 50 units for small businesses. Read the full guide: https://boxyourbrand.com/resources/blog/where-to-order-custom-mailer-boxes-low-moq/

Can I order different products in one order?

Yes. You can combine multiple products and SKUs in a single order. Your quote will itemize pricing for each line.

Do you offer reorder discounts?

Yes. Reorders of an existing approved design are faster and often qualify for volume pricing as your quantities grow.

How do I place an order?

Start with a free quote. Once you approve pricing and a digital proof, we move your order into production.

Can I get a dedicated account representative?

Yes. Every account is assigned a representative who handles quotes, proofs, reorders, and rush requests.

Is there a setup or tooling fee?

Some custom die-cut formats include a one-time tooling fee for the cutting die. Your quote itemizes any setup costs up front with no surprises.

Can you hold inventory for scheduled releases?

Yes. We offer inventory and scheduled-release programs for subscription and CPG customers who need consistent monthly supply.

Production & Turnaround

How long does it take to produce custom packaging?

Standard production takes 8–12 business days after proof approval. Rush production of 3–5 business days is available for an additional fee.

When does production start?

Production starts the next business day after you approve your digital proof.

Do you offer rush production?

Yes. Rush production delivers in 3–5 business days on most products for an additional fee.

What is the lead time for rigid luxury boxes?

Rigid luxury boxes typically take 12–16 business days because of hand-assembly and specialty finishing involved. Rush options can be discussed with your account rep.

Can I expedite a reorder?

Yes. Because the design is already approved, reorders move quickly and are well suited to rush timelines.

Materials & Specs

What is the difference between single-wall and double-wall corrugated?

Single-wall corrugated has one fluted layer and suits most retail and e-commerce shipping. Double-wall adds a second fluted layer for heavier or fragile items with higher burst strength.

What paperboard thickness should I choose for folding cartons?

Most retail cartons use 16pt to 18pt SBS. Lighter products can use 14pt; premium or heavier items use 20pt-24pt. We recommend a caliper based on your product.

What flute types do you offer?

We offer common flute profiles including B, C, E, and combined BC/EB double-wall, each balancing cushioning, print surface, and stacking strength differently.

What is a rigid box?

A rigid box is built from thick greyboard wrapped in specialty paper, creating a sturdy, non-collapsible structure that communicates premium quality.

Can you match a specific color?

Yes. We print full CMYK and can match spot colors (including Pantone references) to keep your brand consistent across runs.

Do you provide dieline templates?

Yes. Free dieline templates are available for all formats so your designer can lay out artwork accurately.

Sustainability

Do you offer eco-friendly or sustainable packaging options?

Yes. We offer 100% post-consumer recycled content, compostable mailers, and soy-based inks across our full product line.

Are grease-resistant coatings available for food packaging?

Yes. We offer grease-resistant and moisture-barrier coatings for food packaging applications.

Are compostable mailers home or commercially compostable?

We offer both. Home-compostable mailers break down in backyard conditions, while commercially compostable options require an industrial facility.

What sustainable materials do you offer?

Our sustainable line includes recycled board, compostable mailer film, molded pulp, and soy-based inks. We label sustainability attributes on every product.

Is all of your packaging recyclable?

All of our corrugated and paperboard packaging is recyclable. Recyclability of mailers depends on the specific material chosen, and we label each option clearly.

Design & Printing

Do you offer design support?

Yes. Our in-house design team helps at no extra cost. Send your logo and brand assets and we handle layout and dieline prep.

What file formats do you accept for artwork?

We accept print-ready vector files (AI, PDF, EPS) and high-resolution raster files. Our team will confirm specs and flag any issues before printing.

Can I print on the inside of my box?

Yes. Interior printing is popular for mailer boxes and elevates the unboxing experience. We print full color on inside and outside surfaces.

What premium finishes are available?

Available finishes include gloss and matte lamination, soft-touch coating, spot UV, foil stamping, and embossing or debossing.

Will I see a proof before production?

Yes. A digital proof is always included free of charge. Physical samples ($25, ship within 5–10 business days) are available before full production.

How long does proofing take?

You typically receive a digital proof within 24 hours of submitting artwork.

How can I design my own packaging?

Start by downloading our free dieline template for your box style, then lay out artwork in Illustrator or InDesign using the panel guides. Export print-ready AI, PDF, or EPS files and submit for a digital proof before production. Prefer hands-off? Our in-house team prepares dielines and layout from your logo at no extra cost — see the custom packaging guide for the full design workflow.

Can I design packaging in Canva?

Canva works well for mockups and concept layouts, but production requires print-ready vector artwork on an accurate dieline with correct bleed and panel orientation. Export from Canva as PDF and our team can review fit, or send brand assets and we handle production-ready layout at no extra cost.

What software is used for packaging design?

Professional packaging design typically uses Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, or Esko tools for dieline-accurate artwork. We accept print-ready AI, PDF, and EPS files and provide free dieline templates for all formats so your designer can work in the software they already use.

Can AI create packaging design?

AI tools can generate layout concepts, pattern ideas, and rough panel compositions quickly. Production still needs human review for dieline accuracy, bleed, regulatory copy placement, and print color management. Use AI for brainstorming, then finalize artwork on our dieline or with our included design support before approving a proof.

Do larger quantities lower the unit price?
